New Release ~ Breaking Point by Allison Brennan

Bella Caruso survived a nightmare of abuse and betrayal. Today, she has dedicated her life to saving other young women from the hell that almost killed her—first as an officer of the law, then by stepping outside the law and into the darkness where true evil dwells. Now, it appears that the darkness has taken her once again.
JT Caruso often worries about his sister, given her line of work. This time, when he learns that Bella is working undercover to find a missing girl involved in a dangerous prostitution ring, JT asks FBI Special Agent Lucy Kincaid for help.
Even with Lucy’s extensive experience in running down human traffickers, finding Bella will not be easy. Not only because she is in too deep. But because Bella, who will not rest until she saves the girl, doesn’t want to be found…

I honestly do not rate many books 5 stars. but this one really hit all the right spots. A good plot, emotional, engaging, compelling, thrilling. As much as I love this series, I think this has been my favorite book and I hope we see Bella again in future books to get even more of her story.

Surprisingly shorter than most books from heather Graham.  But a compelling story none-the-less!

I love this series, and the chance to revisit some favorite characters and meet some new (and awesome characters)  was great.  I hope we see more of some of the characters introduced here in future stories.

New Release ~ Known Threat by Kara A. McLeod

Special Agent Ryan O'Connor is starting to get her life back together in the aftermath of a shooting and her boss's arrest. Despite scheduling incompatibilities preventing them from seeing one another, she and Allison are doing great; she's preparing to return to full duty; and she's trying to block out the voices of those who've been doubting she still has what it takes to do her job.

Ryan should've known things were never that simple. When a ghost from her past reappears without warning, blindsiding her in a way she never could have expected, Ryan’s entire existence is badly shaken. She’d always believed that the best protection any woman could ever have—aside from a gun—was courage, but now she finds herself asking a question she never thought she’d need to answer: Who protects the Secret Service?

Well, this one started a little slow for me, but it could be that I didn't realize it was a series and I haven't read the first book - so I didn't have the background that might have allowed me to jump right in. But I have to say, after the first couple of chapters, I was hooked and couldn't put this one down.

Known threat is well written with likable characters and a good amount of drama and police procedural.  There is a bit of romance, action and even a touch of suspense thrown in for good measure.

Review ~ Sins of the Fathers by Catherine Sue Morgan

Twenty years ago, Rebecca Bennett's father raped and killed Jack Conroy's sister. Adopted and her name changed after the tragedy, Becca is desperately searching for her brother, Kevin, who has vanished. He is, as was their father, paranoid schizophrenic, and the string of rapes that is terrorizing the city started only days after he disappeared.

Jack Conroy, Tulsa Police Department detective, is focused with razor sharp intensity on the hunt for the serial rapist whose violence is increasing with every offense. For Jack, it's personal; he sees his sister's face in every victim. Aware of Becca only as a trauma therapist, Jack asks her to aid the investigation by working with the original rape survivors. She agrees, and soon her secrets and her life are on the line.

Everything in this story is well developed, while I find the ending lacking I was pretty hooked on the plot. The story is almost a breath of fresh air from the usual romantic suspense books as it deals very closely with mental illness. Some of the story was predictable and fell into place a little too easily, while other parts where a bit of a surprise. A solid 4 star read for me.

New Release ~ Right Here, Right Now by Georgia Beers

Accountant and financial advisor Lacey Chamberlain doesn’t consider herself a control freak. She’s merely a planner―orderly, neat, and content in her tidy little life. When a marketing firm moves into the empty office next door, the loud-music-playing, stinky-food-ordering, kickball-in-the-hall staff make Lacey crazy.

Marketing expert Alicia Wright is spontaneous, flies by the seat of her pants, and lives in the moment―all the things Lacey is not. She’s also gorgeous, thoughtful, and seems determined to make Lacey like her.

They say opposites attract, but for how long? And is that really a good idea?

Review~
This was my first book from Georgia Beers, but it will not be my last.  This is a refreshing story in the FF genre.  it is full of humor (yep I laughed out loud), romance, and kick-a$$ characters!

It is very well written and a story with both a plot and characters you can get invested in and lose yourself.  Highly recommended
