Review ~
I have to say, I was really looking forward to Dimitri's story after meeting him in Ivan's Captive Submissive. That being said, Dimitri was nothing like I expected based on the little glimpse we got of him before.

While expecting a darker more rigid Master, Dimitri turns out to be a bit more tame, warm, and caring. Ohhh he is still an over-protective alpha, but just didn't take the dark turns I expected in his play with Rya.  Now Rya on the other hand is one tough cookie.  She is a match for Dimitri in every way and she doesn't just sit back on her heels.  She goes toe to toe with him more than once and I loved her fire mixed with her ability to submit when it was right.

Overall, Dimitri's Forbidden Submissive is a great read.  It isn't one of my must reads this year, but it is a recommended read :)  Ann Mayburn doesn't disappoint in any of her books!  So while I may not read this one as often as I've read Ivan't Captive Submissive, it's still worth the read . . . Go forth and meet Dimitri, you won't be sorry!

Let's start with saying this is not your typical romance, if you could even classify it as such!  Lily White has created a story that is dark and gritty that will make you gasp in shock and lean forward in your chair itching to find out what happens next. 

Lily gives us characters in Aiden and Rebecca that are relatable in their own way.  While the situations they face are something most of us hope to never have to endure.  The way that Rebecca handles her captivity are almost inspiring. Aiden on the other hand is a character that you will love to hate.  You will probably still hate him when the story is over but there will be a part of you that loves him I'm sure. 

Lily White's debut novel gives us a dark look at life that has twists and turns the reader won't expect while taking the reader on a journey that is not typical or normal.  But it is a journey that the characters need to go on and it works for them.  

Please read the warnings before you pick up this book!  It is not sweet and fluffy.  It is dark, gritty, twisted, and erotic.  While I enjoyed it, I know not everyone will. So look it over carefully before buying.  But if it intrigues you, I don't think you'll be disappointed in what Lily White has given us.

Stacey Kennedy has done it again.  I have to admit I haven't been disappointed in anything I have read from Stacey yet. Bared is the second book in the Club Sin series, and while it can be read and enjoyed without reading Claimed, you will be missing out on some connections if you skip over Claimed.  you'll also be missing out on a fantastic book.

Bared is the story of Aidan and Cora.  I loved Cora in Claimed and was glad to read her story. She and Aidan have an agreement that is both hurting them and helping them in various ways.  While they aren't a 'couple' they don't seek out others.  So this exclusive mix is an interesting take especially when feelings run deeper than either realize. 

Things have to explode before they start to get better. Both Aidan and Cora are broken in many ways and need each other to heal.  But neither of them can see it about themselves and the struggle that follows may destroy them for good.

I highly recommend Bared if you are looking for a well developed BDSM story with characters that are flawed yet lovable.  Aidan and Cora will tug at your heart strings and maybe even resonate with a few of your own insecurities (come on we all have them!!).

My life before the zombie-apocalypse wasn’t bad. I worked as a stunt man and stunt double in Hollywood. I probably worked on some of your favorite movies. The job satisfied – mostly – my need for adrenaline, which is pretty intense. I’ve always been kind of an adrenaline junky and my hobbies always included extreme sports. The more extreme the better.

The zombie apocalypse has been the ultimate extreme sport, and since the world went to shit, life’s been a lot more challenging – but not always in a fun way.

At first, it sucked. People were dropping dead everywhere and the entire world smelled like a dumpster full of rotten meat. I stayed at my place as long as I could, but without electricity or running water, and with Hollywood becoming zombie-central, I had to take my chances somewhere else.

I was pretty damn lucky to run into Doc, and when we found the mansion it was like the Christmas gift that just kept giving. But we still needed supplies, so we still needed to scavenge. Finding the boys one by one made me feel like we’d made a difference, saving those kids’ lives.

Being a Hero for Hire started out as kind of a joke between me and Doc. I was going stir crazy in the mansion, even with the scavenge runs. We knew there were still people out there, hiding and trying to survive. I figured, maybe I could help them.

What are zombies like, you ask? At first, getting used to them wasn’t so easy. They look like rotting corpses, but it’s obvious they used to be people. It’s easy to get sentimental. But trust me, they’re not. After a few run-ins where they try to eat you, your opinion changes and you don’t have a problem killing them. Maybe they used to be people, but they’re not anymore.

When I first met Gwyn and she insisted they were people and should still be treated like people, I laughed at her. Because seriously? It’s not like you could reason with them. Ask them not to tear you limb from limb and slurp your guts as if your it was their own personal buffet. And when she said she could cure them, I was skeptical. But she’s freakin’ brilliant and tenacious as hell. So I think she’ll do it. It’s just going to take a while to get it done.

So what’s next? Gwyn’s going to cure the world one zombie at a time, and I’ll do whatever I can to help her and protect her. I never, ever thought I’d find someone to love. I mean, before the apocalypse, I dated like it was going out of style, but after? Well, women were pretty thin on the ground. It’s a miracle Gwyn and I met at all, and even more of a miracle that she puts up with me. We all love her, and I don’t ever want to be without her again.

9 Inch Review ~*~
Hero for Hire was a fun look into the zombie world.  A well created but not technical look at the struggle to survive and what you might do to help yourself or what you might have to sacrifice to help someone else.

Gwyn and Rafe are fun characters, but the boys Rafe helps sometimes steal the show.  Rafe is well trained to go after what he wants and needs.  But he does have a soft side in a dog-eat-dog type of world and Gwyn picks up on it easily.  Gwyn is a little awkward.  She is a scientist after all and is used to being alone.

Hero for hire will make you laugh while still having it's bits of gore, violence, and mostly friendship and love that all come along with the end of the world as we know it.  Hero fir Hire really gives the readers a refreshing take on the zombie world filled with people willing to make sacrifices they never thought they would.

Highly recommended to anyone looking for a sweet romance that takes place in an unusual time.

I've been a fan of Nora Roberts for years. I love the way she can spin a series.

6. Do you have anything specific that you want to say to your readers?
Without you guys, I couldn't do what I was truly meant to do. You keep reading and I'll keep writing. Deal?

7. What Inspired you to write ?
The characters and the plots inspire me to create all of these stories and tales. I have so much to say.

8. What is your life motto?

9. Did you always want to be a writer?
Yes! The stories and dialog have always played out in my head.

10. What can readers expect next from you?
My very first paranormal, time travel is due out in January. I'm really excited about this one. It's called Find Me.

11. How do you get yourself in the right frame of mind to write those amazingly hot sex scenes?
I make sure I develop strong, well-developed characters who have a connection to one another. Even if its a short story, I try to establish a reason for the two to come together (no pun intended lol). After their back stories are created (even if just in my head) I let it flow from there. I like to have a bond with my characters before they do.

12. Quickly, give us the title and genre of your book and a 30-word or less tagline:

13. Can you share a little of your current work with us?
Sure! I loved writing The Weekend Proposition. Here's one of my favorite scenes...

“I’m not looking to be the next Bachelor.”

“I’m sure that show would love you. Rich, successful, and totally hot.”

“You think I’m hot?” He smirked all smug-like and sexy.

“Like you didn’t already know?”

“That I’m hot or that you thought I was hot?”

“You are arrogant.”

“I don’t have time for a relationship. My job is very demanding.”

“You still need a social life.” She shrugged. “Not that I have time for one.”

“You see, that’s why my proposition is perfect.”

When he turned to leave the room she reached out and touched his tattoo. She couldn’t stop herself. His muscles tightened under her fingers. He looked over his shoulder and into her eyes.

“I didn’t expect this.” She traced over the keys. “Do you play?”

He nodded as he held her gaze.

“I’m friends with Jake. He’s a remarkable artist. His tats almost pop off the skin. I could tell by the color scheme this was his work. It looks like you could almost play this miniature piano.” She continued to run her fingers over the image. “He’s done all of mine.”

“You have more?” He turned to face her. “I saw the one at the nape of your neck.”

“I have a few more.”

“Where?” She felt his breath on her lips.

“Wouldn’t you like to know?” She gave him a flirty smile. “You better get ready for dinner.”

“Only if you’ll promise to tell me later.”

“Maybe I’ll show you.”

Review ~*~ 
The Weekend Proposition is a really fun story.  It reads quickly and sucks you in from the first pages as you meet Spencer and Dakota after work one night.  They need each other for various reason and Spencer has the ability to make it work, little does he know Dakota is not just a pretty face and things are going to get a little crazy.

Both characters have interesting quirks and need each other for the weekend, but little do they know they have a lot more in common than most people would think.  The passion they feel for each other is just the least of what they have going for them.

Ella Jade creates a world that is believable and that a reader can put themselves in with the characters. Every book I've read by Ella has made me want to have at least one of the characters she creates as my best friend and The Weekend Proposition is no different.  If you are looking for a sweet romance that has a bit of passion, family, and love pick up The Weekend Proposition and enjoy these characters.  It is worth it ;)

Unintentional Virgin is a sweet story about Karma ~ just love her name ~ and how she deals with the stresses of becoming an adult.  I would classify this as an 18+ New Adult, Contemporary Romance.

Karma has her share of issues that are fairly normal for any girl in her position.  I loved that the author didn't make her perfect in any way, shape or form.  She is a character you can relate to and really root for as her journey takes her on an interesting path, especially once she meets Jax.  And while Karma has her issues, Jax is a little too good to be true at times but very likable.

This book is perfect if you enjoy a coming of age story that deals with family and relationship issues. It has its humorous moments, its touching moments, and even a couple of sexy moments.  There is something for just about everyone to enjoy in Unintentional Virgin.

Against the Ropes is the first book I have read by Sarah Castille, but it certainly won't be the last.  I really hope that this is the start of a great series.  I haven't read much with MMA fighters and really enjoyed the world that Ms. Castille created in this book.

Mac has had a rough time in life, but is still fairly immature for  her age.  She abhors fighting of any kind but needs the money that being the medic in Torment's fighting club can bring her.  While Torment makes Mac's knees weak, there are a few things they both need to struggle with before you get to the steamy goodness of their relationship.  But the buildup is definitely worth it.

Against the Ropes is a recommended read for anyone who enjoys an Alpha Hero with secrets, a heroine that has her own code of morals and sticks to them, and a storyline that will capture your heart.  This is one of those books that hits just about all the right notes even in its cheesiest moments.  There is some over the top drama, and less than realistic scenes, but overall Against the Ropes is a great story.

“That’s the only reason?” She wasn’t sure why she was disappointed.

“What were you hoping I would say?” His gaze locked on hers and held it.

There was no way she was going to ask if it had to do with her and the hope that they could have more. But as he stared at her with lust-filled eyes, she knew she had to say something. “I guess I just thought…from the stuff you said yesterday that maybe it was…never mind.”

Luke moved closer to her. Molly’s breath caught, and the sound of her racing heart filled her head. She did her best not to look at him, but her need to see his eyes was too strong. She gazed up and found he was staring at her with nothing but passion in his eyes.

She inhaled a spicy fragrance that tingled her senses. He reached out and rubbed his hand along her cheek. She closed her eyes out of instinct. Just the feel of him touching her brought back feelings she hadn’t experienced in a long time. The nerves in her body stood on end, and it was almost as though she were being tickled. She shouldn’t be enjoying this. In fact, she should tell him to stop again and not come any closer, but, man, did it feel good, for once, to just feel.

And feel she did. He was close enough now that she felt his warm breath touch her skin. Opening her eyes, she saw his focus was on her lips—his mouth inches away. If she made the slightest movement, she’d taste him.

She ached to grip his shirt and pull him to her. If they kissed, it would be passionate and ignite a fire deep within her. She hadn’t kissed another man since Steven. Could Luke be the first?

Bidding Wars is the first book in a new series (Love Strikes) by the lovely Lacey Wolfe.  She has done it again with this book and gives us a sweet romance with just enough drama and twists thrown in to keep you from putting the book down.

Molly and Luke are great characters who both want the same house in a nice little neighborhood.  So a bidding war begins ~ until they come face to face . . . The sparks that fly between them make this about more than just a house.  Can they come to an agreement about the home they both want?

Lacey creates a real life experience that many people can relate to on multiple levels with her characters and situations.  There really is no fluff, the characters encounter gritty scenarios and struggle with them just like you or I would.  I think that is my favorite part about Lacey's books ~ I can relate to the situations she puts her characters through on a regular basis.

Recommended if you like a sweet realistic romance that deals with issues and situations that you might face or have faced!  A fairly quick read, perfect for a relaxing summer day.
