Blog Hop ~*~ Rites of Spring

I've decided to share one of my firsts with you.  My first date with my husband 11 years ago still sticks in my head! We decided to meet for dinner and a drink on a Tuesday night with us both having to work the next day... We ordered drinks and dinner and then never saw our waitress again...Never got a drink refill or anything.  It was surprising because we met at 7:30 and when one of us finally noticed that Jay Leno was on the TV we realized how late it was!  we got ready to leave and then stood in the parking lot talking for another 2 hours...the amazing part of that is it was February in Northern Michigan and downright cold!

    Love seeing the bulbs blooming and everything turning green. It is nice being able to open the windows and air out the house.

    I love the first date with your husband story! Aside from the not so great waitress (bad her, bad bad her!) it sounds perfect! Perhaps that added to the perfection though in someways. At least it added to the memories of that night! What a cute date story.

    As for the spring thing, my very favorite thing about spring is opening up the windows again. I am starting to miss the fresh air!

    Nice first date story! :)
    My favorite thing about Spring is the first day when I go outside and the air smells fresh and flowery -- like Spring! It always makes me sneeze later, but it's worth it.

    I don't remember my first kiss. Guess it was that great. But I do remember the date of my first date with my hubby.

    I love spring because of the flowers. I love planting them and watching them bloom.

    When I think Spring, I think of the haze of yellow pollen covering EVERYTHING (including the cats), seasonal allergies, tourists, crowds at my favorite restaurants, traffic jams, resuming pay-for-parking at the beach, even mosquitoes. It's not my favorite season! BUT, I do love the beautiful blooming forsythia, azaleas, cherry and pear trees.
