Excerpt ~*~
She motioned with her hand and instantly two hulk-looking clones—minus the green skin—appeared at her side. She continued when he only gaped at her. “Do we have an agreement?”

Kean loved a blowjob as much as any guy, so loaning out his dick to gain his freedom should have sounded great, but it didn’t. That this fucking Sempire had abducted him and locked him in a cell then demanded this of him pissed him off. He was no one’s whore. Well that was debatable, but he was a whore on his own terms, not some demon’s. But, he didn’t let on. He reigned in his temper, grabbed his dick, gave her a cocky smile and said, “Semen, sure she can have all she wants.”

Talith’s smile faltered slightly but she motioned to the guards again. One unlocked the cell, and the other entered and fastened a chain to his collar. Kean wanted to spring to action and crush the guard’s skull, but he’d still have to make it past the other guard and Talith, and he had no idea if there were more guards beyond his sight. He was strong but he wasn’t Superman.

He needed to be patient and look for his best shot at escape. Talith led the way up the stone stairs. One guard walked ahead of him, the other behind him holding onto the chain connected to his collar.

After exiting the porn prison, they passed several large, elaborately decorated rooms with a guard stationed outside each one. None of them seemed to find it odd to see a naked, chained man being led through the house. They came to a carved wooden staircase and made the trek up and then took a left at the top. At the end of the long hallway, they stopped in front of a closed door with a four-inch-thick deadbolt on the outside.

Talith spoke. “My daughter is resting in here. You’ll stay with her until she gets what she needs.”

This bitch must be crazy. Chained or not, he’d have his get out of jail free card as soon as they left him alone with the daughter. As soon as he got his hands on her, he’d strangle her to unconsciousness and then offer Talith her daughter’s life for his freedom. Clean. Simple.

One guard unlocked the door. The other shoved him into the room and surprise, this was his lucky day. The guard removed the chain from the collar. Apparently he wouldn’t be restrained. Were Sempires stupid?

“There is an intercom on the wall. Should you need anything, just buzz,” Talith said.

“How about some clothes?” He didn’t have a shy bone in his body, but once freed he didn’t want to get arrested for streaking.

“Your services here don’t require clothing,” she said with a smile as she glanced at his cock. Then the guard closed and locked the door.

Reviews:
Gaele @ The Jeep Diva:
“…With several steamy to downright scorching scenes, clever dialogue, humor and the potential for a happy ever after, this was a really fun and clever read. Dex has created a new sexual demon, and made them lovable, if not a bit outrageous in their attitudes and thinking. The desires and emotions of the characters were easy to relate to as the characters were well-defined and voiced, a nice addition to this novella.”

Anna @ Book Lovin’ Mamas:
“…The chemistry between Araya and Kean was smokin' hot and they were great individual characters too. And I LOVE the sister and Mom. They were quite entertaining! … Overall this was a great read! Lots of fun and very very sexy! I can't wait to read something else from this author and I will be impatiently waiting for more! ;)”

Diana @ Offbeat Vagabond
“…Goodness gracious, this book should come with a warning. I swear even my ereader was heating up while reading this and it wasn't even plugged in. I enjoyed the hell out of this. I think if you are like me and you are a fan of Larissa Ione's books, you will love this. This was a super sexy read that will heat you up from head to toe.”

Excerpt ~*~

“Okay, let’s roll out.”

Out? Time to go, already?

The rest of the crew pushed away from the conference table and trooped out the door with excited murmurs. A far cry from the turmoil rolling through her.

“Let’s go, Malock.” Jager raised his eyebrows. “Or did you change your mind?”

She stood and released a deep breath. Even with her trepidation, she refused to back out now. Melina waited for her. “No, I’m looking forward to seeing Airondelle for myself.”

Brook spun away and rushed to catch up with her comrades. If she revealed her plans, she’d be stopped before she could find her lover. She would have to hide Melina right under their noses to bring her home. She pushed her shoulders back. I can do this. I have to.

The all-terrain vehicles sat loaded with equipment for the mission in front of the swirling mass of the portal. Her father certainly wasn’t wasting any time getting a team back to Airondelle. Crewmembers already filled the first vehicle, so she hopped into the back of the second.

Jager passed around everyone’s mission directives then shoved in on her left. Thank goodness he was the last to load. With his bulk, he occupied both of the remaining seats.

Before she had time to read her personal orders, they proceeded into the portal. She passed through the spinning matter, her body pulled and stretched in every direction. Unknown forces pushed on her chest, making it difficult to breathe. She gripped the seat, hoping she wouldn’t get pulled out. But the awkwardness didn’t last long. The transporter room light years away, clean, fresh air poured into her lungs. The alien vegetation of the foreign planet lined the rough dirt road they traveled. She yearned to explore the flora and fauna on a more intimate level. And she would, after setting up camp.

She opened the folder with her mission directive inside. Instead of the stack of papers detailing what Planet Core expected of her, she found a single sheet.

Her father’s handwriting scrawled across the page. You can never know the truth.

Hard, cold steel pressed against her temple. A gun. Her breath caught. What the fuck is going on? She grabbed her knapsack and launched out of the vehicle.

4 Star Review ~*~
Never Gonna Desert You is the second book on Jessica E. Subject's The Underground Series! You don't have to read the first book, Never Gonna Let You Go in order to enjoy this one.  Just be prepared that these are very quick reads at under 60 pages each.

Never Gonna Desert You is a fast paced sci~fi romance that gives you pause and makes you think about what life might be like on Earth someday. Brook has dealt with her father's controlling ways, the rules of this version of Earth, and a cheating boyfriend for far too long.  Now that she is making her own decisions, there is a lot that can do wrong ~ but so much more that can go right.  Brook bucks the system to be with Melina, but her happiness is not going to last long.

Jessica E. Subject manages to create a full story and Brook's character amazingly well in such a few amount of pages.  There is a well developed plot, that will continue with the series I'm sure ~ but she gives us satisfaction with the characters so it's not really a cliffhanger but there are unresolved issues. Brook was a great character with depth and someone I could empathize with, while Melina seemed to fall a little flat and I would have liked more depth to her character.

All in all, Never Gonna Desert You is a well written story with an interesting plot that will definitely make you want to read more of this series.

His finger stroked the inside of her thigh, seeking higher ground as his thoughts rolled forward. Piper’s eyes trained on his face, hanging on his every word. “I didn’t intend for things to get as heated as they did, but as soon as I touched you, I needed more. I couldn’t help myself. You possessed me.”

The glazed look in her eye told him that she was remembering that night as vividly as he was. Placing both hands on the cushions on either side of her body, he hemmed her in, bringing their faces so close that when he spoke, his lips grazed hers. “The way you danced that night, pushing that sweet little ass of yours against me. It’s haunted me, Piper,” he whispered. “You need to understand, I tried to resist you, just like I have been trying to resist you, but you drive me crazy. When I’m with you, it takes everything in me to stay away. All I think about, all I dream about is burying myself inside you.”

Piper licked her lips and Tate zeroed in on the tiny movement. “I want to suck those plump lips into my mouth,” he murmured. Shifting, he brought his knee up so it rested on the couch alongside hers and hovered over her. Her face was flushed and her chest rose and fell heavily. She wasn’t unaffected.

“You need to leave,” she said weakly.

Tate chose that moment to drop his head into the crook of her neck, nuzzling her. She smelled faintly of roses, and his cock jumped at her soft, feminine scent. “Do you want me to leave?” he asked softly.

He could feel her softening beneath him, her breath coming out in shudders as he skimmed his lips lightly up her neck to her ear, where he licked the pulse beating rapidly beneath her sensitive skin. “Yes.”

The single word left her on a stilted breath, only solidifying his need to get inside her. “I don’t think you do,” he murmured. With sure hands, Tate grabbed the backs of her thighs and yanked her toward him, seating her firmly beneath him on her back with her legs spread wide.

4 Star Review ~*~
That First Kiss was a refreshingly fun read.  J.C. Valentine created realistic characters that face some of the trials that each of us face every day.  You will definitely laugh at the complete opposite attitudes of these two characters and the turmoil that they put each other through. You don't have to read Stranded (the novella of supporting characters Felix & Poppy) but you probably will because you want to know about them after reading That First Kiss.  They really add to the story.

Now Piper and Tate are combustable and after their one night stand together they can't seem to get the other out of their heads . . . but they never exchanged names or information.  So when Piper get s a new job the last person she expects to meet is her one night stand and the first thing he does is fire her.  Tate is an a$$ of a boss.  But Piper can't deny the attraction to him.  They have a roller coaster ride of a relationship as she fights him at every turn to do her job.

That First Kiss flows quickly and time will speed by as you get lost in the pages.  Recommended to anyone that likes a contemporary romance with some heat and humor.

Imitating a conspirator, he lowered his voice. “Let me train you.”

“No.” She paused. “No way. Absolutely not.”

He frowned. “What are you afraid of?”

“Nothing.” Everything.

“You know I’m the best race trainer in this competition.”

She bristled. “I’m the best. If I was going to run, I’d train myself.”

“You can’t push yourself the way a race pony needs to be pushed. You need a trainer.”

She considered what he said. He was right; no one in their right mind would force themselves to train as hard as a race pony trains without someone to push them. But if she agreed, her entire future would depend on him.

Everything about him screamed trust fund playboy. He never worked for a single minute in his entire life. What if he got sick of her after two days and ran off to find a shiny new toy? A Buffy, or Bunny, or Honey, or whatever ridiculous name his arm candy called themselves.

Or worse yet, what if she came to depend on him for more than just training?

5 Star Review ~*~

The Last Execution grabbed me from the first time I read the description.  I admit I am sucker for romantic suspense and well men-in-uniform is a bonus.  Jerrie Alexander didn't disappoint for me.  She is definitely going on my must read for future books.

The Last Execution is well written with characters that face situations that a reader can relate to on some level whether it has happened to you or not.  The heroine, Leigh, is trying to make it in a man's world after past issues make her a media sensation that doesn't play well with her career.  And our hero has his own past issues that he uses as a shield that needs to be cracked.

Jerrie Alexander really takes these characters and makes you love them every step of the way.  you can feel their pain and joy as they are faced with situations we can only hope to never be faced with.  As Leigh works to help the FBI find a serial killer, her family is put into harms way more than once by someone who doesn't want her to live.  All the twists and suspense really make The Last Execution a book that is hard to put down.  I highly recommend this to anyone that likes imperfect characters simply working to make it through day to day, and enjoys some suspense with your romance.

Excerpt ~*~

The six-year-old missile launched himself into the air, giving J.T. two choices. Catch the kid, or let him fall to the ground like a deflated football. J.T. grabbed him and held Ethan out in front, as he would a wet, smelly dog.

Leigh jogged down the sidewalk, sparks flashing from her eyes. She pulled her son out of J.T.’s grasp and plopped the kid down at her feet. She knelt and got right in his face. J.T. made a mental note to not piss her off.

“What have I told you about running out the door?”

Ethan’s head bowed. “Don’t even think about it.” He stared at the tops of his bare feet.

“Obviously, you didn’t listen.” She tugged the knot at the back of her head tighter before she looked up. “Sorry about the attack.”

“Kid’s a natural born high jumper.” J.T. stuffed his hands in his pockets. She’d wadded her hair in the old-lady-school-teacher-bun-thing she wore at work. Probably just as well. If she’d left all that blond silk loose and sexy, he might’ve thought this was a date or something, which it wasn’t. Him being here was entirely the fault of his own big mouth.

“Please.” She waved a hand toward the wide-open front door. “We were about to come and get you.”

“You knew I was here?”

“A black Corvette rumbling around in our neighborhood doesn’t go unnoticed.”

Dressed in blue jean shorts and a thin-strapped top exactly the same blue as her eyes, Leigh looked more like a model than a mom. J.T. was glad he’d worn a T-shirt and Wranglers.

His chest double-clutched and pulled a weird stutter step when a small hand gripped two of his fingers and two small feet shuffled hurriedly to keep up with him. Tonight was a mistake.

About the Author:
A student of creative writing in her youth, Jerrie set aside her passion when life presented her with a John Wayne husband, and two wonderful children. A career in logistics offered her the opportunity to travel to many beautiful locations in America, and she revisits them in her romantic suspense novels.

But the characters went with her, talked to her, and insisted she share their dark, sexy stories with others. She writes alpha males and kick-ass women who weave their way through death and fear to emerge stronger because of, and on occasion in spite of, their love for each other. She likes to torture people, make them suffer, and if they’re strong enough, they live happily ever after.

The author of THE GREEN-EYED DOLL, THE LAST EXECUTION, and her latest release, HELL or HIGH WATER, Book 1 in the Lost and Found, Inc. Series, Jerrie lives in Texas, loves sunshine, children’s laughter, sugar (human and granulated), and researching for her heroes and heroines.
