The first book in a new romantic suspense series

About the Series:

LOGAN’S LONESTAR HEROES, a new western romantic suspense series by Becky McGraw

Dave Logan, former recon marine and ex-cop is a man who lived inside the box of government restrictions and red tape for many years. When he had enough of seeing criminals and corruption continue despite his best efforts because of that red tape, he decided to do something about it. He assembled a group of likeminded men with unique skill sets, cowboys of a different sort, to combat crime in the new wild, wild west.Deep Six Security exists to fill the gap between the right and wrong side of the law. The men of Deep Six operate just beyond the box. They are willing to do what it takes to keep their home state safe. They are patriots, rebels and most importantly renegades. They are as different as night and day, but they have one thing in common, their love of God, country and the great state of Texas.

If the six pack doesn’t work, there’s always a shotgun and a shovel…

TILL DEATH (#1, Logan's Lonestar Heroes)

Blurb:

till death cover.jpgDave Logan, owner of Deep Six Security, is stunned when former Dallas FBI head, Susan Whitmore, darkens his doorstep accusing him of being the cause of her losing her job. After hearing her situation, Dave feels something he never expects to feel--sorry for her. But he also knows any problems she had at the agency were all her own fault. The woman has a tongue so sharp it could rip a man to shreds, and had many times. There was a reason her agents dubbed her the Barracuda.

Although Dave needs agents in the worst way, and Susan, with an IQ higher than Einstein, better skills and more experience than any of his men, along with a master's degree in criminal justice, is more than qualified to be a member of his team, he just doesn't need the drama she and her mouth would bring to Deep Six . Even as his brain said no way though, his damned white-knight complex forces him to offer her a job as his temporary secretary.

Realizing he's made a huge mistake hiring her, Dave calls in favors to get her interviews to get her out of his office. Before he can get rid of her though, Dave gets a new case only Susan can help him with. A wealthy Dallas oilman and his trophy wife ordered a designer baby from a local fertility clinic, and the surrogate has gone missing with the baby. The couple wants Deep Six Security to investigate the facility and find the baby, but the only way Dave can do that is to get inside. To get inside his only option is to go undercover with Susan, posing as a wealthy married couple looking for a baby. What they find when they get to the spa-like compound is frightening. Payoffs, missing surrogates and young women being used as lab rats are just the tip of the iceberg.

Can two alpha personalities, both used to being in charge, work together long enough to figure out what's going on at the clinic, or will they kill each other before the bad guys at the facility have a chance? If they're lucky, perhaps the delicious friction between them will turn into something so hot the place spontaneously combusts. Or if they're luckier, maybe it will turn into something which might just last till death do them part.

Excerpt from TILL DEATH (#1, Logan's Heroes) (c) Becky McGraw, 2014, all rights reserved.

Dave huffed a breath too as he followed Mac out of the conference room. Yes, the sooner he got Susan out of his office the better. He had been avoiding her like the plague, hadn’t seen her since their confrontation over the popsicles, but he knew now his luck was running out.

Against all odds, his men were becoming attached to her and she was obviously encouraging it. The last thing he needed in this office was friction or drama, and he could see it coming with the new Susan Whitmore fan club. Dave just needed her gone, before she embedded herself into his group and removing her would be like extracting a cactus spine.
till death teaser 2.jpgJust as he rounded the corner into the outer office, Susan walked out of the kitchen toward him. She was sucking on something, but it didn’t look like a popsicle. When she got closer he realized it was some kind of candy. It was also the first time he’d seen her that day, or any day since the day he told her to lose the baggy suits.

Her new uniform of choice was skin tight yoga pants and a tank top. No wonder his men were gaga. Dave just barely kept his own tongue from flapping out of his mouth, as his eyes ticked over her full breasts and down her mile-long, muscular legs to her toes while she walked over to her desk. Dave knew Susan was athletic, and over the years he’d often wondered what her body looked like under those baggy black suits. Well he didn’t have to wonder anymore. Every square inch of her tight body was right there for him to see. There was absolutely nothing left to his imagination. Good God—she was built like a brick shithouse. His body quickly registered that fact too.

Susan paused at her desk and held his eyes as she slowly slid the white stick out of her mouth until a round, pink ball appeared. She stopped to twirl the candy between her lips, which made matters much, much worse. As she pulled the candy from her mouth, it made a sucking, popping noise and Dave bit back a groan.

Susan’s eyebrow lifted, and she smiled. Waving the candy at him, she said breezily, in that husky voice of hers, “Howdy, stranger. Did I catch you before you scurried into your office like a cockroach? Or did you need something?”

Now, that was definitely a loaded question, Dave thought, as he stood there staring at her breasts. He couldn’t help himself from giving his imagination free rein. Unless she was a mind reader, it wouldn’t hurt, and he didn’t think her super brain had given her that superpower. If it had, he was probably a dead man, because with her standing right there in front of him, he imagined her throaty, raspy voice would sound just that way when she moaned as he lifted her hips and shoved his aching cock inside of her body. Her body would make that delicious sucking, popping noise she’d made with the candy when he pulled back out. He’d fuck her slowly, torture her until she begged him to make her come. His name would be a hoarse, almost soundless, whisper on her full lips when he finally gave her what she asked for. Her body would clutch his dick, squeeze it like a vise, pulling him further inside of her with every pulsation of her orgasm, until he came too. Dave would fuck her all night long in every position he could think of, and some that had yet to be invented. She would have to beg him for a few minutes to catch her breath in that same raspy voice.

If given the chance, Dave would spend all night long, hell a week, giving her exactly what she was asking for by wearing those clothes, sucking that damned candy, and using that breathy whisper. At that second, he wanted that more than he wanted his next breath.

As much fire as this woman had inside of her, he imagined she would be a freak between the sheets. He wanted to meet that freak and teach her a lesson about teasing a man. Tie that freak to his bed and keep her there until he worked her out of his system.

Dave’s chin dropped to his chest, a groan rumbled in his chest and his breathing hitched, as his cock went rock solid behind his fly. He was surprised when he felt a finger under his chin right before it was tipped upward. His eyes met Susan’s curious blue stare and the spell was broken.

“You okay, boss man? You look a little…flushed,” she purred.

With a smug grin, she held his gaze and lifted the candy ball, stuck out her tongue and curled it to twirl the candy in the well, then flicked her tongue over it making little mewling noises in her throat. When she added slow flirtatious sweeps of her eyelashes over her big blue eyes, Dave knew for sure she was playing him, and he wasn’t amused.

She’s a very smart woman.

Evidently more than smart enough to figure out that his problem with her eating the popsicles was about a lot more than a drip trail in the kitchen. And he was almost certain now that the skin-tight yoga suits weren’t about comfort. This was her bid to pay Dave back for his baggy suit comment. Mind games to teach him a lesson.

Because Susan Whitmore thought she was smarter than him.

She would be the one learning a lesson today. About him. “I need to see you in my office, now,” Dave growled as he turned to stomp toward his office.

Fate Accompli
Aegean Lovers # 1
By: M.M. Jaye
Releasing November 21st, 2014

Monica Mitchell flies all the way from Boston to Athens, Greece, not to get a tan but a very specific job. Because besides an MBA, this twenty-four-year old has a mission: to prove to Alex Argiros, the gorgeous Greek magnate, that she has now grown out of the habit of flashing her underwear and looking like a zombie flick castoff … in the presence of hundreds.

The catch? She has to hide who she is. Thankfully, not having seen him since her early teens helps, and soon she gets all she wants and so much more. Not only does Alex not connect his highly qualified new assistant to the disaster magnate of his distant past, but apart from his admiration, he also offers her his heart.

Now, Monica has a new mission: to keep it forever. But first she has to come clean before he finds out her connection to the bane of his existence. Because if he does, he’ll rightfully assume she plays the part of the Trojan Horse, and then he’ll shed the sleek businessman exterior, letting his hot-blooded Greek nature take over.

She knows he could destroy her.

She knows, yet she needs just a little longer to savor his searing kisses…

Clean

Spicy

The sky was full of dark pregnant clouds. A wicked wind had suddenly picked up, and Alex saw the leafy tops of the ancient oaks and elms of Richmond Park whisking incongruously following its capricious behest.

He’d asked his driver to simply drive and not stop anywhere. They’d been going around London for over two hours, but it was still hard for him to face his empty apartment.

He had asked her to leave.

He knew the potential and the potency of their chemistry, and he’d wanted more than anything to explore it to the fullest.

But this newest development was not a mere stalling or yet another shadow cast over the exit of the “tunnel”. This was a wrecking ball that blasted through the tunnel, crumpled the exit and trapped him in for good.

And the lead ball was now sitting on his chest. He felt like Sisyphus, the symbol of futility in Greek mythology. The man who was punished by the gods to eternally roll a heavy boulder up a hill only to watch it crash down just short of reaching the top.

There was no way he would impose this on her. He knew she would try her best to comfort him and he could see one thing leading to another, but as appealing as that sounded he knew it would turn out to be a selfish act. With this coiling anger already built up to a critical point in him, there was no way he could be the tender, caring, selfless lover she deserved to have.

He would devour her.

Unable to trust himself to refrain from seeing her as an outlet for his extreme state of agitation, he’d reserved a suite at a luxury hotel in the area and instructed her to leave his apartment.

It was for her own good. Their own good.

But it only added to his agitation. He decided that being cooped up in a car for hours didn’t help either.

He asked the driver to take him home. What was the point of avoiding his empty apartment? As if he could feel any worse.

Ten minutes later, he let himself in. Throwing his keys noisily on the glass top coffee table, he grabbed the remote and switched on the TV, increasing the volume.

He couldn’t stand the silence.

He switched channels impatiently. There was nothing on but incoherent annoying mumbling. Nothing that could take his mind off his predicament and Monica’s absence. She’d been in his apartment for only a few hours, but he thought he could still smell her discreet perfume, and the idea that he could not—should not—hold her in his arms made him want to scream.

With an impatient jerk of his hand, he switched the television off. A cold shower could help.

Unbuttoning his shirt, he dragged his feet to his bedroom, wondering why it was so dark as if someone had pulled down the shades. He went for the light switch.

“Please don’t,” said a soft voice, “or I’ll lose my nerve.”

Alex froze. Blinking rapidly, he managed to adjust his eyes to the semi-darkness. And then he saw her.

Sitting on his navy sheets, hugging herself, her long legs brought up under her chin, Monica was watching him.

And she wore nothing but that tiny piece of blue fabric.

Excerpt
Ambushed by Aunt Aideen, Grayce Walters was trapped. The bonds of social pressure gripped tighter around her wrists and ankles, holding her captive in the kitchen chair. She couldn’t escape tonight’s sĂ©ance.

Dressed in a flowing cobalt-blue caftan, Aunt Aideen ceremoniously placed a scarred, black box on the table and then carefully opened a chest lined in red velvet and raised a glimmering crystal ball into the air. “This Keek-Stane has been passed down through generations of Scottish witches.”

The enormous kitchen suddenly went airless. Grayce gulped for a breath. Mitzi, who had been sleeping under the table, protectively covered Grayce’s feet with her paws.

Grayce knew nothing about tarot cards or witches. Why hadn’t Davis warned her that his aunt considered herself a witch? Grayce had recognized Aunt Aideen as a gifted intuitive, but not a witch, whatever that meant.

Aunt Aideen placed the ball in the center of the table spread with tarot cards. “The Keek-Stane guides me in the reading of the cards.”

A call to a suspicious fire had interrupted the cozy dinner with her boyfriend, his aunt and dog. If Davis had stayed, she’d be eating dessert instead of having a metaphysical experience.

Aunt Aideen’s enormous moonstone ring flickered in the candlelight as her hand hovered over the cards. “We must look to the future.”

Grayce couldn’t see the card. She felt light-headed from the burning sweet flag incense or from the ominous energy swirling from the crystal ball.

As she turned over the first tarot card, the large woman’s usual booming voice grew quiet with a mysterious Gaelic lilt. “The Knight of Swords.”

Prickly sensations lifted the fine hair on Grayce’s neck. Mitzi came from under the table and sat next to Grayce’s chair.

Aunt Aideen opened her massive hand to allow Grayce to see the card—a medieval knight in armor on a powerful white horse rode toward a battle in the distance. The horse’s harness was decorated with butterflies and birds. The sky behind him was filled with storm clouds and the trees, tossed wildly by the wind. The knight resembled St. Michael the Archangel.

“The Knight of Swords is hard to resist,” Aunt Aideen intoned.

Davis obviously fit the Knight of Swords. His commanding presence, physical strength, and his commitment to fight crimes made him the perfect archetypal hero.

Heat moved across Grayce’s cheeks in embarrassment. “Davis was hard to resist.” Grayce knew first hand. As a witness to arson, she had been interviewed by the sexy fire investigator and had fallen in love with the irresistible man.

“My nephew, Ewan Davis, is in no way a Knight of Swords. Davis is an Emperor, a man of the logical world, like his Scottish forebears. The Knight of Swords is a messenger, a call for adventure. He does not see, nor does he care about risks or dangers and instead moves forward with his strong determination and strength to succeed, no matter what.

Grayce wasn’t going to discuss Davis’ ability as an adventurous lover with the aunt who had raised him after his mother’s death.

“The knight will call to you from your dreams.” Aunt Aideen’s solemn voice and the shimmering moonstone known for clairvoyance were doing strange things to Grayce’s perceptions. The images in the room faded in and out. The heightened energy from the ball moved in undulating waves.

“His call will challenge you to leave your present way of being.” Aunt Aideen’s eyes were in the shadows, but Grayce felt her focused stare. “The Knight of Swords can also be seen as a warning.”

With the soft burr of Aunt Aideen’s Scottish inflection, the wavering candlelight and the nutty scent of sweet flag, Grayce was floating into deep relaxation.

Aunt Aideen’s voice lost its soothing rhythm. “And it doesn't take a seer to predict that Davis will have trouble with the knight’s appearance in your life. Davis needs to be your protector.”

Grayce came immediately out of her meditative state. Davis tried very hard to control his fear of unforeseen disasters by guarding all those he loved.

“Does the knight have to be human? Maybe I’ll have a new patient?” Grayce asked.

Aunt Aideen kept her eyes closed. Her muted voice was firm. “I see a tall, dark man in a uniform. He holds a gun.”

Excerpt

The familiar scent of spring lilies invaded Torin’s senses, enticing and alluring. His wolf began to pace and whimper when the man made no move toward the door their female stood behind. Why would she seek him out here of all places?

The door to the new temporary computer central opened, and the scent intensified. Turning toward the entrance, he met the stare of his mate and instantly grew hard. Whether Cora knew she belonged to him or not, he remained uncertain. He’d known since she’d come of age at eighteen. Though he had every intension of claiming her, he and his wolf had to wait until she came out of her grieving period over the loss of her family.

He ground his molars together and inhaled deeply through his nose. Felix and his band of fucked up minions were going to pay. Someday, somehow. Torin was going to be there to witness the fall.

Straightening fully, he studied her. Strawberry blonde curls fell in unruly waves around her shoulders as if she rolled out of bed. Maybe she had. He roamed his gaze over the rest of her. She wore a faded pair of gray sweatpants and a pink tee with a coffee stain above the hem. His cock hardened even more, pressing painfully into the zipper of his jeans.

She held onto their eye contact for only a brief moment, but long enough for him to see the distress and sadness she fought to hide from the world.

He stalked toward her, and, when he got within a foot from her, she retreated a step. Then Keegan flattened a hand on his chest. Torin glanced down at the leopard’s hand, then met his stare. “What’s up?”

Keegan chose to answer him telepathically—a skill the former Alpha shared with all the enforcers and sentries. I know she’s your mate, but she needs time.

I’ll give it to her, but she needs….

She needs to heal and become independent. If you push her, she’ll run.

Torin let out a low growl, then focused on Cora. She watched them as if expecting an attack. Sighing, he dropped his shoulders and held out his hand. “Good morning. What has you so upset?”

“Just a dream. What are you doing?” She indicated Alec and the five-screen computer system.

After a quick glance over his shoulder, he studied her closer. Her attention focused on Alec and the monitors. “He’s trying to figure out the new security layout, but he’s not having much luck.”

“Fuck you, Tor. If it was easy, they wouldn’t need me and Dane to work on it,” Alec growled.

Torin laughed. “He’s having so much fun. You should stay and join us.”

“I think I will.” Cora pushed past him to stand next to Alec at the computer.

Torin stared, shocked her sudden change in mood and interest in what Alec was doing. A low growl rumbled from his chest. He meant it as a joke, not expecting her to give her attention to another male. His wolf paced and snarled, demanding Torin grab her and leave the building.
