Guest Post & Giveaway ~*~ Surrendering to Her Sergeant by Angel Payne

Helloooo, illustrious people! *Waves* Angel Payne here, saying what an honor it is to have this blog as part of the tour to celebrate the release of the W.I.L.D. Boys, Book 3: Surrendering To Her Sergeant.

In this case, the book’s title refers to Ethan Archer, who you met in Book 2, Handcuffed By Her Hero. As you might remember, Ethan made quite an impression in that adventure, during Garrett and Sage’s wedding preparations. Thinking that Ava Chestain was a terrorist come to crash the festivities, he tackled her and ended up rolling around on Sage and Garrett’s living room floor in a mountain of tulle. By the time the two of them got dug out from the foof, you can say Ethan was pretty much a smitten man.

This book picks up seven months later. Ethan is pretty pissed and defeated because Ava’s spent all that time rebuffing his efforts to know her better. He can’t figure out why she’s so resistant, and is feeling helpless about ever finding out the answer, until fate intervenes and makes it possible for the guys on the First Special Forces team to “crash” the TV set where Ava works as a makeup and hair stylist.

Here’s a little peek into Ethan and Ava’s reunion on that set…

“Ava!”

Long fingers, steel and flesh certainly fused together, twisted around her elbow. Inside a second, they hauled her into the props and greenery prep room. Inside another whoosh, she was pinned against the wall while the door was booted shut.

And then her world became only him.

Ethan, burying a hand in her hair. Ethan, sealing his lips over hers. Ethan, tangling his tongue against hers as his body, so hard and big, fitted perfectly against the apex of hers. Consuming her senses with his leathery, dark pepper scent. Filling each heartbeat with his passion. Like the mist in which he’d first done this to her, blocking everything but his force, his strength, his desire.

So much for breathing.

As soon as he released her, she struggled to do so, anyway. Once his stare impaled her, that cobalt intensity piercing straight to her center, she flew a white flag on the effort. A million words blasted through her head. Not a single one found its way to her mouth. Her lungs and her heart crashed against each other as he slid a rough thumb over the stinging pads of her lips.

“Hello, sunshine.”

His murmur slunk through her body like smoke, the tendrils turning the ice into simmered drops. They pooled into the layers of her sex, soaking her panties, finally making her throat work again. A high-pitched gasp spilled from her, humiliating and liberating at once.

Crap, crap, crap.

Corporal Ethan Archer has just earned his sergeant's stripes, and a trip to the fun and sun of LA is just the celebration that the guys on his Special Forces team have deemed the perfect celebration. Ethan has ulterior motives for agreeing so readily to the vacation. He can't forget a magical hour in a North Cascades forest last winter, shared with an indigo-eyed goddess named Ava Chestain, who now calls LA her home.

Ava is a makeup artist for Bella Lanza, star of the wildly-successful nighttime drama Dress Blues. When Ethan and his buddies finagle a visit to the set, his reunion with Ava melts the months away—but their time is cut short by Bella, who’s determined to rekindle her own naughty past with Ethan. His efforts to push Bella off are thwarted when the unit is called to secretly cut their vacation short in the name of assisting the CIA on a harrowing plot to destroy the West Coast. Part of the plan? Someone has to get closer to Bella--and Ethan's the logical choice.

Though Ethan risks his career by telling Ava about the plot, her trust is an impossible gift to earn. Her passion is a different story. As his willing submissive, Ava gives him the fire his body craves...and the surrender his soul needs. She's a dream come true--until the cuffs come off and the sun comes up.

As Ava gives Ethan more nights with her body, it becomes harder to keep hiding her heart from his touch, too. Every time she drops at his feet, she finds herself tumbling for him in deeper, more disconcerting ways. Bella's interference intensifies her struggle against past demons, and the man who stirs them so.

When a terrifying turn of events escalates the terrorists’ plan into full reality, Ethan must make decisions that will either kill or save them all--and his plan includes the necessity of Ava's trust. Can surrender to him with everything she is--including what could be her last breath?
