Good Morning lovely fans . . .

The lovely and uber talented Kristine Cayne is here to visit with us!!

She answered some interview questions and talks about her latest release in the Six Alarm Sexy Series
~ Make sure to comment and say Hi to Win a prize!!

Thank you so much for hosting me on Illustrious Illusions. I’m excited about the newest release in my Six-Alarm Sexy series, Everything Bared.

1.  Favorite TV show when you were younger?
When I was a kid, I was a huge Happy Days fan. I had the biggest crush on Chachi. LOL

2.  What would we find if we looked under your bed?
Nothing! My husband thought our bed was too high, so he took the bottom off the frame and now our mattress is right on the floor.
3.  Book Store or Library?
I love libraries, the sounds, the smells, everything.
4.  If you could write another genre, what would it be
I really want to try paranormal romance. I have an idea for something a bit different that is still sexy and suspenseful. I’m planning to write an introductory novella, which will come out as part of the next Rainy Day Writers’ anthology.
5.  What are a few things on your bucket List?
Visit Hawaii, visit Europe, live on a beach. :)
6. Can you share a little of your current work with us?
On July 30th I released Everything Bared, book two in the Six-Alarm Sexy series. I’m really excited to get this book into readers’ hands. We’ll be on tour until the end of August. As far as writing, I’m currently working on Deadly Betrayal, the third book in the Deadly Vices series. Kaden and Azita’s story takes place in Afghanistan and that means there is a lot of research in store for me!
7. Is there anything you find particularly challenging in your writing?
I love doing research and learning about new places, new cultures, and new professions. This is both fun and challenging. In erotic romance, one of the biggest challenges is to keep the sex interesting and different without jumping the shark. If it’s too wild, no one will believe it. If it’s too “normal,” readers will be bored.

10. Who is your favorite author and what is it that really strikes you about their work?
I have many favorite authors: Cherry Adair, Aleksandr Voinov, Josh Layton, JR Ward, and Diana Gabaldon to name but a few. What attracts me to their work is that in some way, they all push the boundaries of their genres. In all cases, the writing is intense and gripping.
11.What were the challenges (research, literary, psychological, and logistical) in bringing your Six-Alarm Sexy stories to life?
First, I’m not a firefighter, so I had to learn about firefighting and technical rescue strategies for my rescue scenes. Second, the SAS stories focus on sexual activities, many within the realm of BDSM, which is so vast no one has “done it all.” In each book, I try to include at least one sex scene that is different from anything you’d find in other books in the genre while ensuring that it is in character for my hero and heroine. My next SAS book is an M/M romance. This is obviously another challenge because I’m neither gay nor a man. :)

11. Do you have anything specific that you want to say to your readers?
To enjoy the SAS books, free your mind, let your imagination take you to a different place where you can experiment with different sexual practices safely. Join me in this awesome ride!

12  Quickly, give us the title and genre of your book and a 30-word or less tagline:
Everything Bared – erotic romance
Two polar opposites—she’s kinky, he’s uptight—discover they share a taboo desire that may destroy both their futures.

13. What Inspired you to write the Six-Alarm Sexy series
I’ve always been fascinated by fire and those who protect us from it. I admire the strength and courage it takes to be a firefighter, but I also wanted to acknowledge the hardships that come with such a dangerous profession, both for the firefighters and their families. I believe the Six-Alarm Sexy series does just that.
 14. Do you have any writing rituals?
Not really. However, beginning with Aftershocks, I started writing my books longhand. This takes more time, but it does allow me to write in places other than at my desk. I feel freer and as a result, I write more.
15. What is your life motto?
"I do not regret the things I've done, but those I did not do."
16.  Did you always want to be a writer?
Yes, I remember even as a child I wanted to write novels. Unfortunately, by the time I finished a BA in English Literature, I had convinced myself that I couldn’t live up to the literary standards of the likes of Shakespeare and Milton. It wasn’t until later in my life that I discovered genre fiction and knew that was what I wanted to write.
17. What can readers expect next from you?
I’m working on three projects: Deadly Betrayal, the next book in the Deadly Vices series, Lover on Top, the next book in the Six-Alarm Sexy series, and a paranormal short story/novella for an anthology.
18. Do you have a specific writing process?  Are you a plotter or a pantser?
I’m definitely a plotter, but I don’t plot everything down to the last detail. I like to have a good overview of the plot line. As I’m writing, I drill down into what is needed to happen in each chapter or scene.
19. How do you get yourself in the right frame of mind to write those amazingly hot sex scenes?
Especially for the erotic romances, I have to put myself in the character’s mind: what would he or she say? How would he or she act? Then I let my imagination fly!
20. What was the very first erotic novel you read?  What was your initial reaction?
That would be Belinda by Anne Rice. I’d read books like Wifey by Judy Blume, but Belinda was in a whole other league. Although I was intrigued and enjoyed the story, I did not become a fan of erotic romances until they became more romantic. Most of these earlier stories were erotica, which I don’t enjoy as much as erotic romances.
21. What are three things that many people don’t know about you?
- I’m a military brat.
- English is not my mother tongue.
- I swam competitively as a child.

Thanks Kristine ~ we love learning about new authors and this was great . . .
We really hope you come visit us again ;-)
Now let's get to your latest release ~ which I can NOT wait to read!!!

Everything Bared
Two polar opposites—she’s kinky, he’s uptight—discover they share a taboo desire that may destroy both their futures. Firefighter Dani Harris has always wanted a family, but doesn’t think it’s possible because of her demanding, high-stakes career. Her sex life is as high-adrenaline as her job, and that’s just one more thing that makes her unsuitable to be a wife and mother. Her secret kink—exhibitionism—has gotten in the way of more than one relationship. Will she ever find a man who not only shares her wild fantasies, but loves her for them? Burdened with ensuring the success of the struggling family business, William Caldwell IV needs a wife suited for a CEO—one with money and connections, who can manage his busy social life and raise their 2.5 children. He’s got everything all mapped out, but when he meets Dani, a woman who’s every kind of wrong, she taps into desires he’s only half-recognized and long-suppressed. Suddenly his carefully crafted five-year plan feels as confining as a straightjacket. As Dani and Will’s sexual experimentation escalates, they test the limits of polite society by baring all and risking exposure—an exposure that could cost them their reputations and careers.

Short blurb ~*~
When firefighter Dani Harris meets William Caldwell IV, sparks fly even though they’re polar opposites. She’s fiery, sexually adventurous, and takes no prisoners; he’s a tiger in the boardroom, but his tie is just a little too tight outside of it. Dani’s wild ways and exhibitionist side shake up William’s buttoned-up world and ignite his secret fantasies—but threaten to derail his five-year plan for becoming CEO. Can she loosen him up so they can find a middle ground? Or will his ideas about who he needs to be torpedo their sizzling attraction?

Peep Show Excerpt (18+) ~*~
A spotlight snapped on, bathing her in a harsh white light. Perched on a low wooden chair, she took in the small round platform beneath it, and the dozen shuttered openings surrounding her. Each was no more than a couple square feet in size and close enough for her to touch if she stretched out her arm. A pulsing beat filled the space and her body.

A man’s low, smooth voice broke in. “Begin.”

Begin what? Where was she? That’s when she noticed her clothes. Or rather her lack of them. A black corset laced up her abdomen and tied between her breasts, and sheer boy shorts barely hid her important bits. Garters tied to the corset held up silky thigh-highs. All things considered, it was a pretty sexy get-up, though far more modest than what she usually wore when she went to her favorite fetish parties. Is that where she was now? At a sex club?

When the platform began to rotate, she shifted and her foot hit something on the floor. Beside the chair was a basket full of toys. Sex toys.

One of the shuttered windows slowly slid open. In the near darkness, she could make out the broad-shouldered shape of a man.

Not toys. Props.

This was a peepshow. And she was the star attraction.

Her nails dug into her thighs as she tried to figure out if she was awake or asleep. Was she dreaming? If so, her subconscious was a right bitch to play with her fantasies like this.

The music cut out again. “Is there a problem, princess?”

That voice. It sounded so familiar, but not. She swallowed and shook her head. Since she was here, she might as well enjoy herself.

The platform had gone a full circle and she was once again facing the open square. With her eyes on the shape within, she raised one leg, pointing her toes in the ridiculously high heels, before sweeping her leg to the side and giving the man—customer?—an unobstructed view of her lace-covered pussy. The stranger’s eyes on her sent heat between her legs, and the delicious sensations had her gritting her teeth to hold back her moans.

The shutter of a window behind her slid up. She brought her foot to the floor and leaned back to smile at the newcomer. Make that newcomers. Based on the outlines she could see, there were at least two people in that booth. Hopefully, they’d enjoyed the flash of cleavage she’d given them.

The man’s voice filled the small room yet again. “Start stripping. We want to see more of you.” This time the smoothness of his tone was gone, replaced with something rougher. Lust.

Her belly clenched with excitement and arousal. She looked around, then up. Where was he? He had to be watching her, but from where? A booth? If he was, he’d better grab his hat—or better yet, his cock—because she planned on giving him the show of a lifetime.
